I don't necessarily want equal. I just want enough. Enough is sometimes less than what others have. And sometimes it's more.
I want less money than a lot of rich people. But I want a lot more mathematical skill than even math professors have. (I don't HAVE that level of skill, but I would kind of like to.) But for the time being, I'm content.
